Why Meditate?

Four Powerful Reasons why having a daily meditation practice can upgrade your life in every way!

1. RELAXATION

In this beautiful and fast paced world there is so much power in taking the time to slow down and re-connect to ourselves. In finding stillness and tuning into our natural inner-peace, guidance and wellbeing.

“Tension is who you think you should be.

Relaxation is who you are.”

- Chinese Proverb.

It’s important to know that peace is natural to us, stress is not. And within all of us is a well of unshakable peace, calm, awareness and stillness. This loving inner space is available to be accessed at any time, if only we can slow down enough to recognize and tune in to it. To be still, and know that I AM God.

“if

the ocean

can calm itself,

so can you.

we

are both

salt water

mixed with

air.”

― Nayyirah Waheed

2, RECHARGE AND RESTORE

Just like our phones, we need to charge our battery and fill ourselves up. And meditation is the ultimate battery re-charger! Meditation is an incredibly restorative time for the body and mind, but since it’s done consciously (as opposed to sleeping) we can also use this time of tuning in, relaxing, and re-charging to receive guidance and answers to our questions.

“Meditation is like giving a hug to ourselves, getting in touch with that awesome reality in us. while meditating we feel a deep sense of intimacy with God, a love that is inexplicable.”

- Paramhamsa Yogananda

3. Raise Your Vibration

As we release our “conscious thought” through meditation our vibration naturally rises and acclimates to our Inner Self’s loving and peaceful perspective! After all, it’s only our thoughts and beliefs that can create separation, stress, and dis-ease within the body.  And since our Inner Being is our true nature and Self. If we release thought and relax our minds, we naturally tune to our peaceful, vibrant selves, and have access to Universal love, wisdom, clarity and guidance as we desire it! All we need to do is slow down, find stillness, ask, and then listen for the answer.

“Meditation will bring you more and more intelligence, infinite intelligence, a radiant intelligence. Meditation will make you more alive and sensitive; your life will become richer.”

- Osho

4. Become a Conscious Creator of Your Life

Another huge added benefit of meditation is that is creates AWARENESS and S P A C E in your mind! As you continue to meditate, and relax conscious thought, you have more space to observe your thoughts, patterns, and beliefs. Both when you’re meditating and as you’re moving through your day. Now, you can consciously see and feel what is serving you, and what is not. You can notice how thoughts feel in the moment, and choose the ones that feel better.  In this way, you become the conscious creator of your reality. An awake being, living an authentic life true to your own heart and desires rather than those of the world and old patterned beliefs. ✨

“The goal of meditation is not to get rid of thoughts or emotions. The goal is to become more aware of your thoughts and emotions and learn how to move through them without getting stuck.”

- Dr. P. Goldin

Mini-Meditation

Take a deep breath. Inhaling FULLY, pausing at the top, and exhaling with a sigh. Finding stillness at the bottom of your exhale.

Beautiful.

How do you feel?

A little more relaxed, clear-minded and refreshed? Good. You’ve just done a mini-meditation and reconnected to your Energy Stream.

That’s really all it takes. Every time we slow down, soften, breathe, relax and tune in to our heart, we are practicing meditation. Every time we witness our thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations, we are practicing meditation. Every time we become aware that we are alive in the present moment, we are practicing meditation.

Meditation is simply a coming home to who you truly are. And who are you but a beautiful and powerful being of wonder and light!

Our inner Light knows no boundaries—

You cannot take hold of it, nor can you get rid of it,

You remain silent and it speaks,

You speak and it is silent.

- Yoka Daishi

Today, see if you can take some time to slow down and re-connect to your inner wisdom and guidance. There are so many treasures within you yet to be discovered. And meditation is one of the most beautiful pathways.
